  • PETRIFIED IMPRESSIONS | MILA VOVK

This represents my unrestrained exploration and playful experimentation with clay, where creativity is free from constraints or regulations. It is an innocent and unsophisticated approach to art where I immerse myself in the process and allow the material to guide me without any external influence or interruption. It is an act of embracing my innermost self and discovering my abilities. PETRIFIED IMPRESSIONS This project is inspired by the mystery of ancient handprints found in prehistoric caves, serving as a poignant reminder of our ancestral legacy and the enigmatic cultural expressions of past civilizations, fostering a deep sense of connection to the generations that came before us. • GRAVITY CONTROL | MILA VOVK

GRAVITY CONTROL What does it mean to hold something in place when its nature is to fall? In Gravity Control, vulnerability becomes form. Once pliable and alive, a soft fabric is frozen mid-fall, transformed through fire into fragile porcelain. The folds speak of surrender, of yielding to gravity, to time, to the inevitable pull of forces beyond our will. Yet around this descent, leather cords tighten. Their presence suggests an external will, an attempt to restrain, to impose order on what is natural, organic, and collapsing. In this suspended moment, I explore the quiet drama of gentle and violent resistance, the tension between freedom and containment, softness and structure, fragility and control.
