1. Information I Collect

Information you provide. When you use a contact form or subscribe to email updates, I collect your name, email address, and any message or other information you choose to send.

 

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, certain information is collected through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser and device type, approximate geographic location (city or region level), pages visited, referring website, and how you interact with the Website.

 

Information I do not collect. I do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or health information) through the Website. 

2. How I Use Information

I use personal information to:

 

  • respond to your inquiries and requests;

  • send newsletters, exhibition announcements, and studio updates to people who have subscribed;

  • understand how the Website is used and improve its content, performance, and design;

  • maintain the security and functionality of the Website; and

  • comply with legal obligations.

 

I do not sell your personal information. 

3. Legal Bases for Processing (Visitors in the EU, EEA, and UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, I process your personal information on the following bases:

 

  • Consent, for non-essential cookies and analytics, and for sending email updates. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

  • Legitimate interests, for responding to your inquiries, securing the Website, and understanding general Website usage, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.

  • Legal obligation, where I must retain or disclose information under applicable law.

4. Service Providers and Third Parties

I share personal information only with service providers who help me operate the Website, and only as needed for those services:

 

  • Wix.com Ltd. and its affiliates host the Website and provide forms, security, email, and related services. Information you submit through Wix forms is stored and processed by Wix. See the Wix Privacy Policy: https://www.wix.com/about/privacy

  • Google LLC provides Google Analytics, which helps me understand Website traffic. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as your browser and device type, pages visited, referring website, and approximate location. These providers process information under their own privacy policies. I may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a sale or transfer of my business.

5. Email Communications

If you subscribe, I will use your email address to send news, exhibition announcements, and studio updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to hello@milavovk.com. I will process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Each email includes my mailing address as required by the CAN-SPAM Act.

6. How Long I Keep Information

  • Contact form messages and correspondence: 24 months after our last communication, unless a longer period is needed to fulfill a legal obligation or an ongoing exhibition, sale, or commission.

  • Email subscriber data: until you unsubscribe, after which I keep only the minimum record needed to honor your request.

  • Analytics data: 14 months (the retention period configured in Google Analytics).

7. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You may contact me at hello@milavovk.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have submitted through the Website.

 

California residents. California law may give you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. I do not sell personal information.

 

Visitors in the EEA and UK. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

 

I will respond to requests within [30] days. To protect your information, I may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

8. Security

I use reasonable administrative and technical measures, and rely on the security features of my service providers, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact me at hello@milavovk.com, and I will delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

The Website may link to or embed third-party websites and social media. I am not responsible for their privacy practices, and I encourage you to read their policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above shows when it was last revised. If changes are material, I will provide additional notice where required by law, for example by email to subscribers.
